What is Lexora

Lexora is a document-driven AI workspace for individuals. It brings AI chat, document editing, knowledge capture, and public publishing into one workspace.

Current Capabilities

• AI chat: create sessions, select models, stream replies, switch message branches, and retry answers.
• Document pages: create a page tree and edit rich text content with tables, code blocks, and math.
• History and restore: autosave current content, create version snapshots, and restore a document from history.
• Public publishing: publish a document as a /p/* page or organize documents into a /s/* site.
• Personal settings: manage account details, preferences, model providers, and default models.
• Buddy desktop companion: work with documents, files, and code in authorized local directories, connect tools, and show task status through a desktop pet.
• Self-hosting and admin: run the full service and manage users, email, login policy, model providers, and audit records.

Lexora Buddy

Lexora Buddy is a local personal AI companion alongside the Lexora web workspace. It provides local conversations, project context, general task execution, permission review, and visible progress. The desktop pet is one way Buddy interacts with the user.

Buddy keeps its product data and directory grants on the local machine. Model requests are sent to the provider selected by the user, and directory content enters task context only after authorization.
